On Schedule. Scheduled for completion in time for the 1969 football season, the new Rynearson Stadium will rise 60 rows and will initially seat 12,500 persons. Equipped to provide facilities for track and field as well as football, this unit may eventually be expanded into a five-section bowl seating 63,000 fans. An eight-lane rubberized track oval will also be located at the site, two miles west of the main campus.
