SWIFT RUN DRAIN: Costing $228,000, work on the Swift Run Drain in Pittsfield township has started. The drain pipes will replace the open drain shown in the picture. Serving two-thirds of Pittsfield Village, Pittsfield Park and all of the township east of US-23 between Packard Rd. and Washtenaw Ave. and Oak Park and Washtenaw Heights Subdivisions north of the Central Ave., the drain will connect with the Ann Arbor trunkline near Hogback Rd. and Huron River Dr. The Ginno Innai Construction Co. of Dearborn is doing the work, financed by a 20-year bond issue.
