Everything's Big at Willow Run: This aerial view of the Willow Run area in Ypsilanti township shows the giant Willow Run plant, now housing the Detroit Transmission Division of General Motors, and the Willow Run airport, the major commercial air terminal in southeastern Michigan. The plant, built during World War II to manufacture B-24 bombers, employs an average of 8,000 people and has an assessed valuation of more than $22,000,000.
