This is what the business end of an irritated giant snapping turtle looks like. The big snapper, which weighed 32 pounds, was netted in a small lake south of Brighton in Livingston county and given to John Durbin, owner of at tavern at Whitmore Lake, who is keeping it around to amuse his customers. Later, the turtle will be made into soup. When this picture was taken, an "assistant" kept a firm grip on the snapper's tail to prevent him from taking a chunk out of the photographer.
