Boa Constrictor Captured Here: Two days ago a University bus driver killed a rattlesnake in the Botanical Gardens on Dixboro Rd. Yesterday City Patrolman Theodore Ketchum, left, climbed a 40-foot-tall pine tree at 421 Blakely Ct. to capture this five-foot-long boa constrictor. Patrolmen Byrl Racine, center, and Donald Campbell assisted in the capture. Police say the snake may be someone's pet and the reptile will be held for the owner. The snake has been turned over to the Humane Society of Washtenaw County. Officers say the boa apparently had its eye on several small puppies which were in a pen near the pine tree when it was caught.
