New Cross: This is the 40-foot free standing cross erected recently in front of the Church of the Good Shepherd, United Church of Christ, 2145 Independence Blvd. The white cross, designed by Robert C. Metcalf, architect for the church which was completed in 1958, is illuminated nightly.
