Help For Poor
A new program designed to help the poor of Washtenaw County obtain furniture they might not otherwise have was initiated yesterday by the Washtenaw County Council of Churches. Walter Pinkus of 1818 Chandler (in background) watches as Donald Smith, (left), Vern Terpstra, (center), and Paul Yoder carry away one of the first pieces of furniture donated to the program. Persons with good used furniture may donate it by calling 663-5718 or 668-7391.
