Winning Christmas Displays: Winning displays in the Ann Arbor Junior Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Christmas home decoration contest are shown in the above pictures. The religious manger scene with the Christ Child was constructed by M. F. Smitley of 1328 Rosewood Ave. The other first place winner was Fred Arnold of 1615 E. Stadium Blvd., who rigged a large Santa Clause on a sleigh being hauled by reindeer, atop his house [this photo]. (Story on page 15)
