FINAL SOAP BOX DERBY RACE WAS CLOSE: Alfred White, 906 Packard St., is shown above winning the Ann Arbor Soap Box Derby title by defeating Edward Gillespie, the Class B champion, in the city championship race. White had previously won the Class A title.
