PITTSFIELD SCHOOL LANDSCAPING BEGINS: Teachers and pupils at the Pittsfield School, plagued for the past few years by a sea of mud where the projected playground was to be, won't have that problem this fall. Heavy duty equipment this week began the task of grading the area on the west side of the school to rectify the poor drainage situation. Part of the six to seven acres will be seeded, while part will be laid out for ball fields and playground equipment. Much of the 40 acres around the school has been rented to nearby farmers during the seven years since it was purchased by the school board.
