Co-operating closely with other private agencies as well as public welfare departments and the county probate court, the Michigan Children's Aid Society takes dependent and neglected, homeless and orphaned children and places them with carefully chosen foster parents, giving them a happy home such as the one pictured above.
Homes are selected with a view to the children's age, social background and personality. Where possible, placement of the child with relatives is encouraged. The society makes every effort to give its children a home environment as nearly as possible like that of his natural parents.
A branch of the state Michigan Children's Aid Society, this local agency is a participating member of the Ann Arbor Community Fund. Trained and sympathetic service for local children is made possible through the Community Fund's annual campaign which opens today.
