Family Welfare Bureau workers, trained in problems of human welfare, daily offer friendly advice and experienced counsel to families troubled by that type of problem, as the worker shown above is doing with a husband, wife and child.
They direct the families to other community agencies for specific types of assistance, they help husband and wife plan their budget so as to get the most out of their income, they encourage the children to join groups where their activities are directed along healthy, wholesome lines.
The Family Welfare Bureau is one of the agencies affiliated with the Community Funds, whose campaign for $56,000 begins Monday.
