ALUMNAE SELL BOOKS THIS WEEK TO RAISE SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS: Piles of used books have been collected by the junior division of the Michigan Alumnae Club and all sorts of fiction and non-fiction books, many for children and many for reference work, are to be found on the tables in the former Eibler jewelry store at 314 S. Main St. today, tomorrow and Saturday. The proceeds of the sale will augment the club's fund for University scholarships to be given to Ann Arbor girls.
Sorting and arranging the books in preparation for the sale today, the group of the cataloguing and pricing committee above was working at the store. From the left they are: Mrs. James L. Eberly of S. Seventh St.; Mrs. Robert F. Graham, Observatory Lodge, who is chairman of the committee, Mrs. William Shipley and Mrs. Charles Henderson, all of Observatory Lodge; and Mrs. William Spaller of McKinley Ave. (The Ann Arbor News, May 23, 1940)
