It was the first of three putts which she took on this green and she lost the hole and match to Betty by a count of 8 and 6.
Miss Courtright is shown on the green at the extreme left and back of her is Jack Kessler, who caddied for his daughter. Betty went down in two putts on this green for a four. In her four tournament matches this week, Betty Jane ended them all on this same green, winning three decisions, 8 to 6 and another 7 and 6.
