Mrs. Hatcher greets Mrs. C. E. Wilson, wife of the president of General Motors Corp., in the reception line, while Dr. Hatcher extends a hand to Wilson. Hundreds of persons attended the reception at the Michigan League after the inaugural ceremony and offered congratulations to the Hatchers. Many residents of Ann Arbor not associated with the University took this opportunity to greet the new University president and his wife.
