THIS ROOM WILL BE HIS HOME: Robert puts his things away in his room at Tyler House of East Quadrangle, the newest unit in the University's residence housing for students. Eighteen-year-old Robert comes from a family of Michigan men. His father, Dr. H. Harold Essig, of Dowagiac, was graduated from the University School of Dentistry in 1918. His grandfather, Dr. Frank H. Essig, also a dentist, was graduated from here in 1888. Robert is departing, however, from the family vocation, he plans to become an electrical engineer. His room also is a departure from the University time of his father and grandfather for there were no residence halls then like East and West Quadrangle.
