Mathematician Honored: Friends of Prof. Theophil H. Hildebrandt, chairman of the University mathematics department, honored him last night with a surprise dinner at the Ann Arbor Town club. Prof. Hildebrandt will retire this summer after 48 years on the U-M faculty.
