NEW UNDERSHERIFF AND DEPUTY: Fred H. Sodt (left) and M. A. Alber (right) have been named undersheriff and deputy sheriff, respectively, by Sheriff John L. Osborn, filling vacancies caused by the death of Sheriff Jacob B. Andres. Osborn previously was undersheriff, Sodt a deputy and Alber a fee deputy and night turnkey at the jail.
