GETTING READY - Police, with the aid of McDonald's restaurants in the area, are preparing for Halloween ghouls - the real kind. The detectors, which can spot miniature metal particles, narcotics or drug substances, will be available at McDonald restaurants at 2000 W. Stadium Blvd., and 373 N. Zeeb Road, 3811 Carpenter Road, 4775 Washtenaw Avenue in Ypsilanti, 16 Ecorse Road in Ypsilanti, and 7847 E. Michigan Ave. in Saline. The restaurants will also have a surprise for each child.
