About 60 Huron High School band members rallied in front of Ann Arbor City Hall to protest the possible layoff of band director Steve Roberts. Now, on first-year probation and lacking seniority, Roberts could be laid off because of budget restrictions facing the school district. (The Ann Arbor News, October 10, 1990)
