FIRE-SALE ANTICIPATED?: Mrs. Miner Castro (right above) and her niece, who were forced from their upstairs apartment last night when fire swept through a W. Main St. business block in Brighton, rummaging through a pile of merchandise, saved from the flames and stored in nearby buildings. The fire, believed to have started from a defective chimney, kept five village fire departments and Michigan state police troopers busy most of the night, evacuated three Brighton apartment dwellers and their families and caused removed to the sidewalk and later to other buildings of stock from four stores.
