Rummage Sale Nets Kiwanis Club $2,100 For Hospital Work
Although returns from the annual Kiwanis rummage sale to benefit underprivileged hospital children are not yet complete, cash receipts are more than $2,100, Calvin A. Wolf, treasurer, reported at the luncheon meeting of the service club yesterday.
The goal for the sale had been set at $2,000, and Harold J. Barnum was general chairman.
Nelse S. Knudsen of Pontiac, Michigan district governor of Kiwanis, installed three new members of the club yesterday and praised Ann Arbor Kiwanians for winning the attendance banner for the gold division of the district in 1938. The gold division includes clubs with a membership of more than 100. The banner was accepted from the district governor by Dr. Russell MacKenzie, chairman of last year's attendance committee.
The three new members of the club are: Horace W. Campbell, 722 W. Washington St.; Clarence Perrine, Whitmore Lake, and Herbert F. Sager, 522 Second St.
