SALINE - The Wedding of Miss Lucile F. Hirth and Norman P. Brassow, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Brassow of Farmington, took place at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Bertha Hirth, on the Saline-Ann Arbor Rd. Rev. H. L. Engel, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church, performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her uncle, Walter Mayer of Ann Arbor, wore a gown of white marquisette with a high neckline, and short puffed sleeves and full skirt. Her fingertip veil was caught by a tiara of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of roses.
Mrs. Edward Hartwig of Detroit, sister of the groom, was her matron of honor, and she chose a frock of peach marquisette with a heart-shaped neck edged with aqua velvet ribbon, which formed a bow at the shirred waistline. She carried an arm bouquet and wore a matching rose in her hair.
Brother is attendant
Walter Hirth, brother of the bride, acted as best man and the guests were seated by Raymond Hirth, another brother of the bride.
The bridal march was played by Mrs. John Haab of Ann Arbor, as the party assembled in front of an improvised altar of palms and baskets of flowers with candelabra on either side. Mrs. H. L. Engel of Saline sang, "O Perfect Love," before the service.
Following the ceremony a dinner was served to 70 guests. The bride's table was centered with a tiered wedding cake with two tall tapers and flowers on each side.
Mr. and Mrs. Brassow will reside in Farmington, where they have a new home. Mrs. Brassow is a graduate of Saline high school and Cleary's Business College and was employed at the Harper Spring Co., Ann Arbor. Mr. Brassow is employed by the Ford Motor Co.
