Bob Westfall Set For December 9
Will Start At 6:30 P. M. At Michigan Union, Committee Says
The all-city Bob Westfall testimonial dinner, honoring Ann Arbor’s All-America captain of the Michigan football team, will be held at 6:30 Tuesday night, Dec. 9, at the Michigan Union.
This was decided at a meeting last night of representatives of organizations joining in arranging for the banquet.. Dec. 10 previously had been set at the tentative date for the event.
The Junior Chamber of Commerce and the AA club, which is composed of former Ann Arbor High school athletic letter winners, are sponsoring the Westfall dinner but will be assisted by the Kiwanis, Exchange, Lions and Rotary clubs, the police and fire departments, and the high school athletics department.
Sponsors hope to sell 400 tickets for the banquet. Tickets will be on sale through all of the groups participating in the program. Rawleigh, Saunders, president of the JCC, is general chairman of the banquet committee.
Robert Mayfield, chairman, and J. A. McMillan and Harry Schmid comprise the ticket, committee; Roland G. Schmid, chairman, and N. J. Prakken and Charles Mene-fee, the program committee; and Police Chief Sherman H. Morten-son and Mill Marsh, co-chairmen, and Milton J. Kendrick and Mr. Saunders, the publicity committee.
