
War-Wounded To Be USO Guests At Grid Tilts
Percy Jones Hospital Veterans To See Six Michigan Home Games
Wounded war veterans convalescing at Percy Jones hospital, at Battle Creek, will be guests of the Ann Arbor USO at the six University football games to be staged in Ann Arbor this fall. The first trip is scheduled for Saturday. Game tickets will be donated by the University.
According to Mrs. Elizabeth Burton, USO director, the war wounded will be furbished transportation and tickets to the games and will be honored at a dinner Saturday night at the USO club, food for which will be provided by local organizations.
The veterans will have sleeping accommodations for Saturday night and will be served Sunday morning breakfast at the USO before leaving for Battle Creek.
About 25 to 50 men are expected each Saturday a football game is slated for Ann Arbor.
Other Activity Slated
The Ann Arbor MOMS club is sponsoring a party tomorrow night at the USO for men of Company D who will be leaving campus in the near future and sanitary engineers of Company B whose departure is also scheduled. The affair will be combined with the monthly birthday party.
Leading the list of party plans is dancing with USO hostesses and the serving of apple pie alamode, sandwiches and coffee.
