Local Resident For 36 Years Dies At 89
Mrs. Kate A. Boyce, wife of the late Charles L. Boyce, died yesterday afternoon at her home, 1007 Lincoln Ave., after a long illness. She was 89 years old.
Mrs. Boyce was born March 29, 1861, at Ferrysburg in Kent county, a daughter of Benjamin F. and Charlotte Eames. She was married to Mr. Boyce in Ferrysburg on June 9, 1890. He died on April 30, 1931.
A member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Mrs. Boyce had lived here since 1914. She also was a member of the Woodmen's Circle of America.
Surviving are one daughter, Helen, and one son, Harvey; and two grandchildren, all of Ann Arbor.
Funeral services for Mrs. Boyce will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Henry Lewis. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
