Former Saline Teacher
Dies At Whitmore Lake
WHITMORE LAKE - Mrs. Jeanetta M. Sage, 73, wife of Rice B. Sage and a former Saline teacher, died Saturday afternoon at her home, 11735 Crestview Dr., after a long illness.
Born on Oct. 23, 1879, in Saline, she was a daughter of Samuel H. and Philena Hood Moore.
Prior to her marriage to Mr. Sage on June 15, 1904, in Saline, she was employed as a grade school teacher in Saline for a number of years. She had lived at Whitmore Lake for the past 20 years and prior to that in Ann Arbor.
She was a member of the Saline Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Earl C. Fairchilds of Ithaca, Mich., and Mrs. Durwood D. Nowak of Whitmore Lake; one son, Donald M. Sage of Ann Arbor; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. John J. Raaf of Ann Arbor.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Asa T. Compton officiating. Burial will be in Washtenong Memorial Park. Friends may call at the chapel.
