AS FIRE WAS QUENCHED: An unidentified Dexter fireman shoots fog on the wreckage of the car of Roy W. Morris in an effort to bring the gasoline flames under control. Wrecker crews were unable to work on the vehicles until midmorning and had finally completed operations at the scene shortly before 1 p.m. The vehicles crashed head-on in the westbound lane on the Mill Creek Bridge at left. Heavy fog shrouded the highways this morning. (Story on page 13)
