YPSILANTI - Funeral services for Johnnie Hammond, 23, of 1760 Upton Ct., Willow Village, who was drowned Sunday when his car plunged into the Huron River from the Spring St. bridge, Ypsilanti, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Willow Run Baptist Church.
He was born Sept. 14, 1932, at Atlanta, Ga., a son of Johnnie and Dorothy Driscol Hart. He had lived in Willow Village for about nine years.
Surviving are his wife, Arlene, three step-children; four sisters and four brothers; and his father and mother.
The Rev. J. H. Hammond and Elder James Whitehead of Detroit will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, Ypsilanti. Friends may call at Lucille's Funeral Home, Ypsilanti, beginning Wednesday night.
