GROUND BROKEN FOR AAA BUILDING: William Strickland, Ann Arbor division manager of the Automobile Club of Michigan, is shown here as he broke ground for the organization's office building at Potter and S. Main Sts. Saturday. Also taking part in the ceremony (left to right) were Robert G. Jamieson, general manager of the Detroit Automobile Inter-Insurance Exchange; Harold Lage, Strickland's assistant; and E. S. Matheson, club general manager. The ceremony, scheduled before the Michigan-Army football game, was held following the game when the arrival of officials from Detroit was delayed by heavy traffic. The colonial-type building is scheduled for completion by March 1, 1956.
