SAGINAW - Mrs. Gertrude Chute Wilson, 82, of 1029 Holland Ave. in Saginaw, a former Ann Arbor resident and daughter of an Ann Arbor high school teacher, died at her home yesterday morning after a long illness.

She was born Nov. 15, 1878, at Ann Arbor, the daughter of Horatio N. and Lucretia Chute. Mr. Chute was a physics teacher at Ann Arbor High School for many years. A medal named for him is given annually.

Mrs. Wilson married Floyd A. Wilson on July 10, 1906, in Ann Arbor. The couple lived in Saginaw for 54 years.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and of the Saginaw University of Michigan Alumnae.

She was active in church affairs.

Funeral services will be held in Saginaw at 2 p.m. tomorrow, the Rev. Harry Suttner officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Forest Hill Cemetery, Ann Arbor, the Rev. James H. Middleton officiating.

Arrangements were made by the Shea Funeral Home, Saginaw.
