Anatol Rapoport, professor of mathmetacial biology and senior research mathematician at the Mental Health Research Institute of the U-M, will be keynote speaker at the first annual conference of the Unitarian Universalist Council of Michigan.

The conference will be held tomorrow in the First Unitarian I Church. The Rev: Erwin A. Gaede, pastor of First Unitarian Church, is president of the council.

Rapoport will speak at 1:15 p.m. on "Ideological Disarmament.”

The conference will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wilfred Kaplan, president of the Ann Arbor church, will give the welcome to the church with Dr. Gaede presiding.

After lunch at 12:15 p.m. and the keynote address, workshops will be held from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m. There will be workshops on religious education, church leadership, social action and fellowships.

The Rev. Edna P. Bruner, educational consultant with the Department of Education of the Unitarian Universalist Association in Boston, will be leader of the religious education workshop.

Howard S. Bretsch, dean of the Rackham Graduate School, will lead the church leadership workshop; Lois McColloch, counselor at Clarenceville High School, Livonia, social action workshop; and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar T. Quimby, executive director of the Ohio Valley Unitarian Universalist Council, fellowships.
