Age 79, passed away Thursday evening at the Chelsea Medical Center. Born January 14, 1892, in Hartland, Michigan, he was the son of John and Frances Preston. Mr. Preston had lived in Washtenaw County for over 50 years, and at his present address for the last 14 years. He married Margaret G. Wilson December 23, 1914. She died November 18, 1968. Mr. Preston had been employed for a number of years with the Washtenaw Farm Bureau, retiring last year. He was a member of the Local Order of Moose. Surviving are: two sons, Robert B. and LaVere W., and a daughter, Mrs. Ben (Mildred) Caesar, all of Ann Arbor; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred Preston, of Hartland; and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Roepcke, of Alma. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday from the Muehlig Chapel with Rev. Collins Thornton officiating. Burial will be made in Arbor Crest Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
