Ted Heusel was unanimously elected president of Ann Arbor Board of Education and Robert Conn was elected vice president at the meeting Wednesday night. Heusel, who held the post of vice president during the 1971-72 term, replaced Cecil Warner as head of the nine-man board. Conn was elected in a 5-2 vote against Henry Johnson. Neither Johnson nor Conn was present at the meeting. Sworn in for their new three-year terms were Clarence Dukes, a newly elected trustee, and Warner, who was re-elected in the June 12 school election. Johnson was also re-elected in June. Richard Creal, assistant to the deputy superintendent for planning, was named secretary to the board. William Wade, deputy superintendent for opera tions, was named treasurer. The board designated meetings on the first and third Wednesdays of each month as both regular and briefing sessions. The second Wednesday was designated as a briefing session; fourth Wednesday meetings were eliminated; and executive sessions are to be scheduled in the late afternoon, whenever possible.
