Age 86, died Wednesday, February 11, 1998 at Saline Evangelical Home. She was born March 29, 1911 in Center, CO the daughter of William E. and Effie (Eggleston) Gardner and on November 15, 1935 married Earl D. Rainville in Boulder, CO, who preceded her in death on April 29, 1966. Mrs. Rainville transcribed manuscripts for her husband, who was a professor of Mathematics at the U of M, and authored many college mathematics textbooks. She was a very active volunteer with the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair and a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Survivors include many nephews and grandnephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, 201 S. Main, Ann Arbor, MI 48104 and/or the Church of the Good Shepherd, 2145 Independence Blvd, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. A memorial service will be held at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Monday, February 23, 1998 at 7:30 p.s. with Rev. Ingraham officiating.
