CONLAN, DAVID FRANCIS
Age 71, passed away at his home on Monday, April 9, 2007 after a long battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). He was born on November 17, 1935, the son of William and Eileen Conlan, in Albert Lea, Minnesota. David was a local businessman and long time resident of Ann Arbor. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ayla C. Sari Conlan. His greatest love was his four surviving daughters, Nicole (Michael) Ragan of San Diego, California, Leyla (Joseph) Farley of Ann Arbor, Mitra (Ross) Dunbar of Ann Arbor, and Calen Conlan of Ann Arbor. He was the proud grandfather of Tanner and Chase Ragan and Ayla Dunbar, and looking forward to the birth of his fourth grandchild. Survivors also include Jill Smith of Mt. Pleasant, brothers William (Mischa) Conlan of South Dakota, and Thomas (Dorothy) Conlan of Minnesota, as well as many nieces and nephews and cherished friends. A Memorial Mass celebrating David’s life will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Ann Arbor. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Barton Hills Country Club in Ann Arbor.
