wonderful story submitted by kathleen824 on August 17, 2013, 11:17am I read this book in 2 days. The women in this story really spoke to me.

The secret life of bees submitted by VickyB77 on July 5, 2016, 2:49pm This is a poignant tale of a teenage girl with a less-than-stellar home life, where unforeseen circumstances send her out into the world to try to track down remnants of her mother, who died when she was young You will laugh, you will cry, you will cheer, and your heart will break. It's a great read; I can't wait to watch the movie to see how it compares!

Very good for Book Club submitted by ssmyth on June 29, 2017, 9:11pm My book club really enjoyed this book. So much to discuss and we learned so much about bees!

Special submitted by Team_ROX on June 15, 2018, 4:25pm I really enjoyed this book. A nice story of a little girl looking for answers and finds some “sweet” connections. Touching

Thought provoking and absorbing submitted by Zekicmom on June 12, 2020, 12:00pm I had such a hard time putting down this book once I started reading. I finished feeling satisfied and wondering what the future held for the characters.

Weirdly hard to put down submitted by chowcy on August 28, 2020, 7:10pm This isn't a particularly plot-heavy book. The story has more to do with character development. Yet, it was strangely hard to put down. The pacing was good, the narrator was likeable, and there was a little hint of mystery.

Really enjoyed this book submitted by emileeione on August 30, 2020, 6:10am Read it before seeing the movie.

A good read submitted by clucas on June 20, 2021, 9:51pm The Secret Life of Bees is a quick read. A good story that takes place in the mid 1960s about loss and betrayal. I enjoyed getting to know each of the characters.

A pleasant read submitted by jmconnel on August 16, 2023, 4:44pm Glad to have finally read this.
