Fun Movie submitted by andreahubert on June 27, 2012, 9:28pm This movie either makes you really love Bridget Jones or really hate her.

Nice adaptation submitted by crazypockets on July 19, 2013, 5:13pm I enjoyed this if only for Colin Firth. It's nearly impossible to not love a movie where he plays a Mr. Darcy. In general, this was just a fun way of updating "Pride & Prejudice," though I think Bridget was a lot clumsier and not nearly as smart as Elizabeth Bennet is meant to be. Another enjoyable part of this movie was all the scenes of London. It really made me miss the city.

Worth watching for the Hugh Grant / Colin Firth catfight submitted by doctorfang on August 2, 2015, 6:55pm The movie itself is harmless and generally enjoyable to watch, but the highlight for me is the physical fight between Hugh Grant and Colin Firth. They play two characters who clearly are unaccustomed to fighting, and I laugh out loud at the scene of them timidly swatting at each other. Worth the price of admission.

great romantic comedy submitted by meghantpowell on August 31, 2018, 5:27pm Absolutely love this movie! Bridget Jones is a woman you can relate with. And Colin Firth is so dreamy in this movie too. Funny movie I can watch over and over again. :)

Great submitted by lstorc on August 31, 2018, 5:47pm Fantastic rom-com, especially after breakups! The characters are engaging and the writing is smart.

the start of a fun series submitted by yufamily on August 24, 2019, 1:31pm Bridget is great!

all time favorite submitted by zaraz on August 27, 2023, 3:24am an absolute classic in my book! bridget is so relatable and renée zellweger captures the character perfectly with her performance. also (spoiler), hugh grant and colin firth get into a physical fight over her, so if that isn’t a reason to watch I don’t know what is. I don’t think I could ever get tired of this movie!
