Great for kids submitted by Pumpkinscones on July 9, 2013, 7:12pm Want to know what a flower of smiley face sounds like?
Draw one and hit the button. comedian Bill Bailey likes to use one of these in his sets - they are tons of fun and simply great for kids as young as three. My class ranged between just pushing all the buttons and trying to draw, but all of them given enough time started experimenting with tone and speed to get the exact sound they were looking for.

fun but not life-altering submitted by hathaway1066 on July 14, 2014, 7:35pm A fun musical toy but not what I'd call an 'instrument'.

simple but neat submitted by bfields on November 7, 2014, 9:04am It does one simple thing but does it well.

Note it also has trigger in/out jacks that can be used in combination with other stuff in the collection. (E.g. I enjoyed experimenting with hooking this up to the monotribe.)

Neat submitted by willow on August 31, 2015, 11:52am This is an interesting instrument; obviously it has a much greater potential than is immediately apparent. It produces fairly pleasant sounding tunes, even when played by a small child. It has a headphone jack, too, so the musician does not need to have his or her composition heard by all.

Fun and easy to use submitted by Murtasma on September 25, 2017, 7:38am Loved how simple this thing is to use. It's a bit limited in what it can do of course but I find the simplicity charming. I've been unable to locate one of these for sale online I don't think they make them anymore. Be sure to pick up a Korg Monotron delay as well for even more flexibility. The Monotron delay is noisy but I was able to get some really interesting sounds out of this unit with this combo.

Fun Little Synth submitted by Meginator on August 1, 2018, 11:29am This is an easy synthesizer that is rather intuitive and accessible. With the name "Bliptronic", I expected something a bit closer to the 8-bit video game soundtracks from my childhood, but it's still charming. The note structure means that it's difficult to create unpleasant dissonance, which comes in handy when enthusiastic younger users decide to push all of the buttons at once or make other patterns. I love the integration of the visual and aural aspects to this little melody machine and I plan to experiment more with it in the future.

Bliptronic 5000 submitted by Varshini on July 2, 2019, 10:38pm Very simple design, but fun nonetheless! My sister enjoyed this tool a lot.
