"A vast, intricate novel that weaves six narratives and spans from 1984 to the 2030s about a secret war between a cult of soul-decanters and a small group of vigilantes called the Night Shift who try to take them down. An up-all-night story that fluently mixes the super-natural, sci-fi, horror, social satire, and hearbreaking realism"-- Provided by publisher.

Interesting read submitted by aohall on July 29, 2015, 4:44pm This book spans decades, beginning in the 80s, as it addresses themes including science fiction/fantasy, immortality, and the future of the planet. It's told from the perspective of several fascinating characters.

Odd but good submitted by KJRULEZ on July 25, 2016, 9:27pm This book walks a thin line between literary fiction and science fiction--at times, swinging wildly back at forth. I don't think the balance between the two is done particularly well (some parts largely no-nonsense realism, while others are dripping with fantasy), but the story told is fascinating and the love in the book is beautiful. It is well-written though some sections are better than others.
