Join artists Judd Winick, Wendy and Richard Pini, Kids Read Comics!, and the Ann Arbor Arbor District Library as we celebrate the opening of two exhibits: 10th Anniversary of A2CAF and Elves Like Us: Triumph of the Wolfriders of ElfQuest. This reception includes a special announcement for the winner of the annual Dwayne McDuffie Award for Kids Comics.

About the Exhibits

The 10th Anniversary of A2CAF exhibit features the A2CAF Free Comic Book Day publication and includes work from 15 contributing artists: Matt Feazell, Chad Sell, Maris Wicks, Emily Zelasko, Judd Winick, Jerzy Drozd, Dan Mishkin, James Anderson, Ellie Moody, Ruth McNally Barshaw, Mya Lixian Gosling, Bruno Hohn, Tory Woolcott, Meggie Ramm, and Kean Soo. Also featured are illustrations by Matt Feazell and Raina Telgemeier.

Elves Just Like Us: Triumph of the Wolfriders of Elfquest is a celebration of one of the longest-running independent fantasy graphic novel series in the US. Created by Wendy and Richard Pini, who are widely considered pioneers in the comic book industry, ElfQuest is the ongoing tale of Cutter and the Wolfriders, a tribe of feral, forest-dwelling elves. “One of the most important works in American Fantasy,” according to the American Library Association.This exhibit was curated by Zack Giallongo and produced in partnership with the 10th Anniversary Ann Arbor Comic Arts Festival (A2CAF) and Kids Read Comics. 

The Ann Arbor Comic Arts Festival (A2CAF) is an annual celebration of comics, graphic novels, and the people who love them. This reception will include light refreshments.
