Join us for the next installment in AADL's new series on the history of desserts by decade.  We will focus this week on the 1940s!

The USA enters World War II, the first nuclear chain reaction is produced, and a president is elected for an unprecedented fourth term--and all that happened in just the first four years!

The decade brought us everything from Rosie the Riveter to the atomic bomb to the formation of the NBA to Jackie Robinson’s historic integration of professional baseball. It also brought us plenty of tasty desserts, even with rationing! Join the glitterati as Keegan Rodgers and Patti Smith teach you how to make a dessert from the 1940s and tell sharp stories.
