Explore how you can embody the principles of the 'Health at Every Size' movement to create wellness practices both satisfying and sustainable. This talk will use research-backed evidence as well as social and political frameworks to illustrate what Health is, what Health is not, and why Health is possible at every size. Themes will include exercise/movement, nutrition, mindfulness, mental/emotional health, relational well-being, and social justice.
Raina LaGrand is clinical social worker and yoga teacher who uses the mind-body connection to help individuals and communities develop resources for self healing and connection. Before becoming a therapist, Raina worked as a Health Coach where she integrated the principles of the Health at Every Size movement. Raina owns RISE Education and Consulting, a yoga and mindfulness education business that believes that we all deserve to feel healthy, secure in, and connected to our bodies and to each other.
