Description
Have you heard of the Danish concept of hygge?
Hygge is the Danish word for cozy. It is also a Danish national manifesto expressed in the constant pursuit of homespun pleasures involving candlelight, fires, fuzzy knitted socks, porridge, warm drinks, cake, and other people. The concept is universal to Scandinavia and not limited to Denmark.
Adults please join us for some quiet, cozy times at the Downtown Library with a virtual fireplace and mellow music playing in the background. Local crafter, Beth Battey, will be on-hand teaching and helping with crochet or knitting projects, and you can also do jigsaw puzzles or quietly read.
This is an experiential event to try hygge yourself. There is no lecture or structured activity—just relax!
