Vulfpeck
MSG II
Genre: funk-soul fusion pop with a side of jam

3Steez
The Lover & the Fighter: Ninja
Genre: boom-bap hip-hop
Location: Ann Arbor
Notes: Athletic Mic League's 3Steez had two strong singles in 2025, “Stand Up” and “Just Listen (Rise Up)," which are now featured on this 10-track album. Produced by fellow Mic League members 14KT and Vaughan Tego, along with 3Steez. From Instagram: "The first chapter of a journey that started over a decade ago… when life was loud, the vision was raw, and I was hungry enough to carve my own lane, by any means. // I went back to the vault, rebuilt the memories, re-recorded the moments, and sharpened the stories. What you’re hearing is the foundation that shaped everything I am today — as an artist, a DJ, and a kid from Michigan who refused to fold. // This is Part I: The Past. // A covert, assassin's mindset, a fighting spirit, a lover's heart, and the spark that lit the rest of the trilogy."

RVRISS
"Spice"
Genre: soul, pop
Location: Ann Arbor
Notes: London Beck is now RVRISS ("Reveries"), and their first single/video under the name is a slow groover with plenty of space to showcase the artist's soaring vocals.

Daniel Morris
No Feathers
Genre: soul-tinged hip-hop
Location: Ypsilanti
Notes: Daniel Morris has a chilled-out delivery on the mic, but his lyrics are often heated. He performs over blunted, stretched, and chopped beats by Luke MacKenzie.

Fangs and Twang
"Krampus Baby"
Genre: rockabilly-ish
Location: Ypsilanti
Notes: Cheeky rewrite of "Santa Baby" by this Ypsi trio. "It’s a slinky, lounge-twang anti-carol about bad decisions, looming consequences, and the horned one who comes to collect. Krampus Day may have passed, but we’re a monster band, so it’s Krampus season all the way through the holidays."

Bunkerman
"V-Neck"
Genre: house-y jazz-tronica
Location: Ypsilanti
Notes: First single from forthcoming album, Sweater, out January 2 by the duo of Galen Bundy (keyboards) and Travis Aukerman (drums)

Kalron
EP 1
Genre: experimental electronica, synthwave
Location: Ann Arbor
Notes: Five-track debut, delivered from "a basement in Ann Arbor."

"Wild Winter Wind"
Genre: singer-songwriter, country
