I can't imagine raising kids without some Brenton Wood's tunes. My kids all loved them and asked to hear them again and again. I feel the same way. My family was all about the Oogum-Boogum Song. My own favorite is "Gimme Little Sign."

Coltrane, like a number of major jazz figures, had several distinct music periods in his career. Very early Coltrane, recordings from bootleg radio broadcasts, finds him playing bop somewhat in the style of Dexter Gordon and Lester Young. 

In 1957 freshman student Al Young and Bill McAdoo founded the University of Michigan Folklore Society. Al Young went on to become the Poet Laureate of California.
