AADL Talks To: Sara Krulwich, New York Times Theater Photographer
Sara Krulwich has been the theater photographer for the New York Times since 1995, where she pioneered a photojournalistic approach to the Culture and Arts section of the Times. But back in 1969, she was also a pioneering photographer at the University of Michigan's student newspaper, The Michigan Daily. At the age of 19, Sara became the first woman to walk onto the University of Michigan football field in an act of civil disobedience that broke the university's "no women, children, or dogs on the field" rule.
