Knitting instructor Carol Ullman will demonstrate how to get started with knitting cables. Participants should be proficient with cast-on, knit, and purl prior to joining this class. Join us as we fearlessly cable, and all participants will leave with a knitted swatch!

In this talk, Jillian Moreno will outline the ideas in her best-selling book Yarnitecture: A Knitter’s Guide to Spinning: Building Exactly the Yarn You Wantexploring fiber choice, preparation, draft, ply, and color and how each element affects your finished yarn. Jillian will welcome spinning questions after her talk.

NEW TITLE Plastic Dishes on the Table: America’s Love Affair with Melamine in the Mid-20th Century

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the talk entitled "Living with Plastics: The Promise of Mid-20th Century Melamine Dinnerware" will not be given by Christopher Geoffrey McPherson. In its place, Margaret Carney, Director of the International Museum of Dinnerware Design, will give a talk entitled "Plastic Dishes on the Table: America’s Love Affair with Melamine in the Mid-20th Century."
