The Gardening and DIY Fest is a day-long celebration of gardening, nature and the DIY spirit! There will be a vendor fair in the Lobby with handmade clothes, jewelry, bath products, fibers, art, flowers and plants, as well as talks on beekeeping, natural dyes, and more.

Let's take the Summer Game out with a bang with a building-wide puzzle, badge coloring, and badge button making!

Come one, come all, to the annual splendiferously staggering, outdoor, earn-a-metric-ton-of-points, Summer Game Spectacular! Get outside and enjoy the summer with us in one of Ann Arbor’s greatest parks! Featuring the high-flying circus The Aviary, AADL’s amazing outdoor game collection, face painting, food trucks, and more, this slam-bang event will knock your socks off no matter your age! We'll be at the baseball field and the softball field closest to the dirt parking lot off of Maple, next to the Skate Park. We'll see you there!

Expanding beyond the usual short Nerd Nite talks, Annie Rauwerda, creator of @DepthsofWikipedia on Instagram, will guide us through the deepest, strangest, and silliest Wikipedia pages out there. Revel at the strangeness, laugh, maybe learn a bit and DEFINITELY have fun.

Local artist and crochet wizard Drew Hill talks about his maker journey and his book, Crochet Magical Creatures.

Come make a small wall hanging with this colorful needlecraft method popular in the 60's and 70's. With one simple stitch to learn, Bargello creates modern embroidery designs that are fun to stitch! Simple straight stitches become geometric designs and playful patterns, in vibrant colors.
