Yet, they also report that most services and public spaces are mother-centric and not father-friendly, and that fathers are often viewed as secondary caregivers, babysitters, or optional parents in the lives of children.

Natural Area Preservation (NAP) works to protect and restore Ann Arbor’s natural areas and to foster an environmental ethic within the community. This involves conducting plant and animal inventories, ecological monitoring, and stewardship projects in Ann Arbor parks. Parent & Child Drawing Workshop

Michigan children’s book author-illustrator Amy Nielander will coach families on how to draw fun characters using her CREATE A CHARACTER Activity sheet. Parents and kids will improve communication skills, stretch their imagination and practice creative problem-solving. This program for kids and parents/caregivers emphasizes connection, creativity, communication and innovation.
